MATAR
CABERNET SAUVIGNON

PELTER WINERY • UPPER GALILEE

"The ultimate expression of Israeli terroir: a high-altitude, robust, and velvety Cabernet, born in the volcanic and calcareous soils of the north."

🇮🇱 ORIGIN ISRAEL | 🍷 KOSHER FOR PASSOVER (NON-MEVUSHAL)

Power and Finesse in Balance

Matar Cabernet Sauvignon is the result of Tal Pelter's vision to create a Kosher wine that rivals the world's best. Sourced from high-altitude vineyards, where cold nights allow for slow ripening, this red wine displays an imposing structure supported by vibrant freshness. It is a cult wine, produced in limited quantities to ensure its excellence.

1. Identity Profile

Winery: Matar by Pelter.

Origin: Upper Galilee, Israel.

Varietal: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Aging: 18 months in French oak barrels (60% new).

Certification: Kosher for Passover (Badatz Eda HaChareidit).

Volume: 750 ml.

2. Sommelier's Notes

Appearance: Deep, almost opaque purple color, with a density that anticipates its full body.

Nose: Aromatic explosion of blackcurrants, eucalyptus, and cedar. Evolved notes of dark chocolate, graphite, and sweet spices after noble wood aging.

Palate: Firm and enveloping. The tannins are perfectly integrated, offering a velvety texture. Long, mineral finish with an aftertaste of dark berries.
