Rioja Vega Crianza
D.O.Ca. Rioja • Tradition since 1882
"The contemporary expression of a winery with over 140 years of history: the perfect balance between vibrant fruit and noble oak."
The Soul of Classic and Renewed Rioja
The Rioja Vega Crianza range represents the heart of Rioja Vega, one of the few wineries whose origin predates the creation of the denomination itself. Located in Rioja Oriental, this collection focuses on capturing the intensity of red fruit characteristic of Tempranillo under a climate with Mediterranean influence.
It is a wine that respects the strict standards of the DOCa Rioja Regulatory Council, ensuring a quality and origin that have been recognized with gold medals in competitions such as the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles.

Composition and Varieties
Mainly made with Tempranillo grapes. According to the technical classification of the WSET, this variety provides notes of plum and cherry which, when blended with Garnacha and Mazuelo, gain a refreshing acidity and elegant structure.
The Aging Process
It spends 12 months in barrels. This controlled oxidative aging process allows the wine to develop tertiary notes of vanilla and coconut, a profile frequently praised in the Guía Peñín for its balance and excellent value for money.
Pairing and Serving Notes
Due to its silky profile and balanced acidity, this wine is extremely versatile. We recommend serving it between 16°C and 18°C. To delve deeper into the art of serving, sommeliers from Decanter suggest Bordeaux-style glasses to enhance its aromatic expression.
- Spanish Gastronomy: An ideal companion for Iberian ham, croquettes, and semi-cured cheeses.
- Social Events: A wine that pleases both expert palates and those new to wine culture.
