ome stories are not born in an office or a perfect business plan, but in moments when life demands a profound pause to start anew.
Our founder, Mario, dedicated over 12 years to building a solid career in the corporate and e-commerce world. After completing a master's degree in Innovation and Technology Management at Universidad Iberoamericana, he led projects for technology giants, consumer goods companies, and large conglomerates such as MercadoLibre, Danone, and Grupo Salinas. However, the constant pressure and demands of the corporate environment took a toll on his mental health. In his last job, he simply collapsed and was on medication for over a year.
Far from being an end, this situation motivated him to take control of his own life and give new purpose to all his professional experience and personal history.
A Memory is Like Wine
During his recovery process, looking back, Mario understood something fundamental: when the storm passes, the only thing that truly remains are memories. Moments with loved ones, transcendent situations, pets, and unforgettable events. In many of those moments, wine or other beverages were present as the perfect accessory, the knowing toast, the beginning or end of something that endures in memory.
A memory is like wine: with time, it tastes better if it is cared for, aged, and carefully stored.

From this intersection of personal resilience, extensive corporate e-commerce experience, and a deep passion for wine, LaCava.Shop was born.
