Located in Rueda (Valladolid), Bodegas Menade is the visionary and disruptive project founded in 2005 by siblings Alejandra, Marco, and Richard Sanz. As the sixth generation of an emblematic Castilian winemaking family, they decided to break away from enological industrialization to recover the pre-hybrid roots and botanical authenticity of the region.
Their work transcends conventional enology: it focuses on restoring organic soil health through the exclusive use of plant infusions (vegetal homeopathy), native plant cover, and the absolute rejection of synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers. 100% Verdejo without added sulfites. A free wine, without makeup, that undergoes malolactic fermentation. Stands out for hints of wild chamomile, dry honey, unctuous texture, and an elegant, very noble bitter finish.
La Misión
Made with grapes from pre-phylloxera Verdejo vines (ancestral Verdeja). Fermented in clay amphorae, oak vats, and used barrels. A historic, complex, dense, and deeply structured white wine.
Adorado Solera
A tribute to the old "dorados" of Rueda. Made with historical Verdejo and Palomino Fino soleras under biological and oxidative aging. Infinite complexity of memorable dried fruits, fine woodworking, and salinity.
