The Bartenura brand takes its name from Rabbi Ovadia ben Avraham of Bertinoro, a 15th-century Italian scholar famous for his commentaries on the Mishnah. Their wines are produced in the Province of Pavia, south of Lombardy, Italy, under strict kosher supervision, and are distributed globally by Royal Wine Corp, the world's largest producer and distributor of kosher wines.
