Founded in 1981 by Marquis Lodovico Antinori, and today in the hands of the Frescobaldi family, Tenuta dell'Ornellaia is one of the benchmarks of Italian winegrowing. Located in the coastal area of Bolgheri, in Tuscany, its vineyards benefit from the sea breeze and the light reflected off the Tyrrhenian Sea, a microclimate in which the Bordeaux varieties (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot) reach exceptional ripeness and complexity.

The estate's emblem, a Bolgheri Superiore DOC: a blend dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, together with Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, with aromas of fine spice, tobacco, cedar, cassis and ripe black fruit, and velvety tannins. On the palate it is dense yet fluid, with an acidity that balances its power and a very long mineral finish.
