Mezcal Tribal
Oaxaca • Tradition from San Dionisio Ocotepec
"Spirits that pay tribute to the hands that care for the earth and the fire that transforms agave into liquid mysticism."
The Spirit of the Community
Originally from San Dionisio Ocotepec, Mezcal Tribal is born from the conviction to celebrate mezcal culture and the heritage of its master producers. This project revives artisanal processes that honor biodiversity, working in harmony with cultivated agaves (Espadín) and wild varieties cataloged by CONABIO, such as Tobalá, Cuishe, and Tepeztate.
The wisdom passed down through generations allows each batch to be a liquid expression of the climate and mineral-rich soil of the Central Valleys. By following the standards of the Mezcal Regulatory Council (CRM) Certification, Mezcal Tribal ensures superior organoleptic richness, preserving the primary flavors of cooked agave.
The Art of Blending
From tahona milling to double distillation. Tribal strictly adheres to the Official Mexican Standard NOM-070, using conical stone ovens for an elegant smokiness that does not overpower the fruity notes.
