GRAJO
VIEJO
SIGNATURE WINE • CULT VINEYARDS • RIBERA DEL DUERO
"The ancestral soul of Protos: a limited production masterpiece where Tinta del País merges with an unattainable mineral and balsamic complexity."
The Expression of Eternity
Protos Grajo Viejo represents the absolute zenith of the winery. It comes from an exhaustive selection of small plots with vines over 70 years old, located on the highest plateaus of Peñafiel. It is only produced in exceptionally rated vintages. With an aging process that challenges traditional standards (up to 30 months in new barrels), this wine does not seek immediate gratification, but rather transcendence. It is a red wine of aristocratic concentration, with a telluric minerality that places it among the pantheon of the world's great wines.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What differentiates Grajo Viejo from a Protos Reserva?
While Reserva follows a classic Ribera profile, Grajo Viejo is a "Vino de Pago" of tiny production. It focuses on the mineral expression of specific plots and uses only the first pressing of grapes from very old vines.
Is it suitable for investment and collecting?
Absolutely. Due to its limited production and very high aging potential, it is one of the Ribera del Duero labels that gains the most value over time in collectors' cellars.
