THE
MASCOT NAPA
CABERNET SAUVIGNON • HARLAN FAMILY
"The lineage of legends: a vibrant and profound Cabernet Sauvignon born from the young heart of Harlan Estate, BOND, and Promontory."
The Heritage of a Dynasty
The Mascot was born as a personal project of Will Harlan, using grapes from young blocks of Napa Valley's three most iconic estates: Harlan Estate, BOND, and Promontory. It is a wine that captures the energy and rigor of its origin, but with a more approachable focus in its youth. It represents a generational transition and the search for a profile that combines classic power with contemporary agility, offering a unique window into the world's most exclusive terroir.

4. Pairing and Serving Recommendation
Fine Dining: The ideal companion for premium cuts of meat such as a **grilled Rib Eye** or a Sirloin in Bordelaise sauce with bone marrow reduction.
Signature Pairing: Its mineral complexity makes it extraordinary alongside a deeply flavorful **Oaxacan Black Mole**, where chocolate and spices merge with the wine.
Cheeses: Long-aged cheeses like 36-month Parmigiano Reggiano or aged Cheddar.
Serving Protocol: Serve between **16°C and 18°C** (60-64°F). It is essential to use a decanter to allow the wine to fully express itself after its time in the bottle.
Exclusive Information (FAQ)
Is it a limited production wine?
Yes. Although not as scarce as Harlan Estate, The Mascot is produced in limited quantities and is usually reserved for direct allocation lists and select cellars around the world.
What makes it different from a traditional 'second wine'?
Unlike Bordeaux second wines, The Mascot does not come from discards, but from specific vineyards with world-class genetics that are in their youth, offering a vibrant freshness that flagship wines reserve for decades later.
