EL ENEMIGO
LOS PARAÍSOS 2022
SINGLE VINEYARD • 100% BONARDA • BODEGA ALEANNA
"A recovered paradise: the ultimate expression of eastern Mendoza in a single-vineyard wine that defies all logic."
The Purity of a Unique Plot
The El Enemigo Single Vineyard Los Paraísos Bonarda 2022 is the result of a relentless search for Mendoza's historic terroirs. While most high-end wines moved to the Uco Valley, Alejandro Vigil turned his attention back to **El Mirador**, in Rivadavia, to demonstrate that ancient Bonarda vineyards on selected soils can produce reds of overwhelming elegance. Aged with the patience afforded by old foudres, Los Paraísos stands out for its freshness, velvety palate, and a depth of fruit that redefines the standard for this varietal.

Nose: Captivating aromas of black cherries, blackberries, and a hint of dried figs. Layers of sweet spices, such as cinnamon and clove, are perceived, intertwined with a very elegant earthy and mineral note.
Palate: Enveloping and silky. The attack is sweet and fruity, but it quickly balances with a vibrant acidity that gives it fluidity. The tannins are extremely fine, finishing in a long end with hints of bitter cocoa and forest fruits.
3. Architecture of Los Paraísos
4. Pairing and Recommendations
Cuisine: Sublime with small game meats, confit duck, or a good peppered tenderloin. Its elegance makes it ideal for accompanying stuffed pasta with mushroom sauces or a beetroot and goat cheese risotto.
Service: It is recommended to serve at a temperature of **16°C**. Although it is a Single Vineyard wine, its refinement allows it to be enjoyed without prior decantation, although 20 minutes of aeration will enhance its aromatic bouquet.
frequently asked questions (FAQS)
How does this Bonarda differ from the traditional El Enemigo?
The "regular" Bonarda seeks general varietal typicality, while Los Paraísos is a Single Vineyard that aims to express the micro-identity of a specific plot, offering greater complexity, concentration, and aging potential.
Is this a limited production wine?
Absolutely. Coming from a single selected plot within an old vineyard, the number of bottles produced is significantly smaller, making it a collector's item.
Why is 100-year-old wood (foudres) used?
To prevent the new oak flavor from overshadowing the delicacy of the Bonarda. The old wood allows for perfect micro-oxygenation that stabilizes the wine without detracting from the terroir's prominence.
