"A vibrant and vertical expression from Gualtallary. The purity of the fruit and mineral tension make it one of the best examples from the region."

The Revolution of Mendocino Terroir
El Enemigo Malbec 2022 is a masterful interpretation by **Alejandro Vigil** of the high-altitude terroir of Mendoza. Far from heavy and overripe Malbecs, this label seeks verticality and tension. Aged in old wooden foudres that allow for respectful micro-oxygenation without masking the purity of the fruit, this red wine stands out for its almost electric freshness and aromatic complexity. The addition of 8% Cabernet Franc is the signature of the house, providing structural dimension and an elegance reminiscent of great Old World wines, but with the vibrant energy of the Andes.

Appearance: Deep purplish red, with very lively purple highlights.
Nose: Intense notes of black fruits, ripe cherries, and violets. A fascinating mineral layer unfolds, reminiscent of calcareous stone, complemented by subtle touches of sweet spices and vanilla from the foudre.
Palate: Elegant and fluid entry. It is a wine of great concentration but with a refreshing acidity that makes it extremely drinkable. The tannins are silky and fine, with a persistent finish where the freshness of Cabernet Franc reappears.
