Blend wine (or coupage) represents the ultimate creative expression in viticulture. Unlike varietals, which seek the purity of a single grape, blends focus on sensory synergy.
In our selection, the creations of Walter Bressia in Mendoza, Argentina, stand out. Here, Malbec contributes friendliness and red fruit, Cabernet Sauvignon structure and longevity, while Merlot and Syrah add velvety textures and deep spices.

A varietal must contain at least 85% of a single grape by law. A blend does not have this restriction and allows combining grape varieties in any proportion to enhance virtues and mitigate natural deficiencies of the terroir.

Yes. Although less common, there are famous blends (such as in some Rhône areas) where a small proportion of white grape (like Viognier) is added to Syrah to provide freshness and set the color.
