Binyamina: Imported Kosher Wines from Israel

Binyamina Winery

Binyamina, Israel • Kosher Excellence Since 1952

"The perfect balance between ancient knowledge and technical innovation in every bottle from the Eastern Mediterranean."

Legacy and Evolution of Israeli Terroir

Founded in 1952 by Joseph Zeltzer, Binyamina Winery began its journey by transforming an old perfume factory into a center of oenological culture. Today, after seven decades of evolution, the winery has established itself as a fundamental piece in our selection of wines from around the world.

The winery integrates vineyards strategically located in the Golan Heights, Galilee, and the Judean Hills, regions recognized by the Israel Wine Institute for their exceptional suitability for high-altitude viticulture. This geographical diversity allows Binyamina to produce red wines of great structure and white wines with vibrant mineral freshness, taking advantage of the volcanic and calcareous soils that define the Israeli landscape.

High-End Series and Oenological Mastery

The Chosen: The Apex of Blending

This line represents the winery's greatest pride. It is a limited edition collection that has received acclaim from international critics in publications such as Decanter. Using only grapes from selected plots and prolonged aging in French oak, The Chosen competes on the most demanding global viticulture stages.

Binyamina Reserve and Moshava

While the Reserve series stands out for its nobility and aging potential, the Moshava line celebrates local viticulture. These wines are fundamental pillars within our category of Israeli wines, offering sensory accessibility without sacrificing the technical complexity that characterizes the Binyamina region.

Commitment to Kosher Purity

Every bottle from Binyamina Winery meets the highest certification standards. They are Kosher for Passover and Mevushal wines, produced under the rigorous supervision of the Badatz Eidah Hachareidis. This guarantee of purity makes them the preferred choice for our premium Kosher wine section.

Frequently Asked Questions about Binyamina

What are the implications of the Mevushal process on quality?

The term Mevushal implies rapid pasteurization that allows the wine to maintain its Kosher status even if served by non-observant staff. Thanks to Binyamina's technology, this process is completed in seconds, fully preserving the aromas and tannic structure, a standard validated by the Orthodox Union (OU).

Why does Binyamina use Mediterranean grapes like Marselan?

Marselan and Carignan adapt perfectly to Israel's warm and dry climate. Their water resilience and ability to maintain acidity are subjects of study by the OIV (International Organisation of Vine and Wine), resulting in wines with deep colors and intense notes of black fruits.
