MARQUÉS DE GRIÑÓN
EMERITUS

DOMINIO DE VALDEPUSA • SPAIN

"The soul of a historic 'pago' (wine estate): the culmination of the Marquis's vision in a world-class wine."

🇪🇸 ORIGIN: PAGO DOMINIO DE VALDEPUSA | 🍷 SIGNATURE BLEND | 🏷️ WINERY: PAGOS DE FAMILIA MARQUÉS DE GRIÑÓN

The Ultimate Expression of Terroir

Marqués de Griñón Emeritus is much more than a wine; it is the liquid legacy of Carlos Falcó. Coming from the first recognized Vino de Pago in Spain, Dominio de Valdepusa in Toledo, this wine is born from limestone soils similar to those of Burgundy. Emeritus represents the selection of the best plots of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Petit Verdot, resulting in a red wine of extraordinary complexity, perfect balance, and an elegance that places it among the pantheon of great international wines.

1. Technical Details

frequently asked questions (FAQS)

Why is Emeritus considered one of Spain's best wines?

Due to its consistency, unique origin (Vino de Pago), and meticulous winemaking. It has been consistently rated by international critics (Parker, Peñín) as an exceptional wine.

Is it necessary to decant it?

Yes, as it is a wine of great structure and long aging, it is recommended to decant it at least 1 hour before serving so that its aromatic complexity can fully open up.

How does it differ from Marqués de Griñón Syrah or Cabernet?

While the others are single-varietal wines, Emeritus is the winery's "Grand Vin," a blend that seeks the perfect balance between the best of each vintage's varieties.
