VIKINGO
BLEND OF STRENGTH 2021

NORSE POWER • MENDOCINO SOUL • DOMINANT PETIT VERDOT

"A warrior in the glass: the intensity of Petit Verdot joins the elegance of Cabernet Franc in a pact of blood and terroir."

🇦🇷 ORIGIN: UCO VALLEY, MENDOZA | 🍷 55%PV, 25%CF, 15%MB, 5%MR | 🏷️ WINERY: SIN REGLAS WINES

The Conquest of the Senses

The Vikingo Blend 2021 is a wine designed to challenge the conventional. Its composition, unusual due to the high proportion of Petit Verdot, makes it a cult item for those seeking wines of great body and personality. Cabernet Franc provides herbaceous freshness, while Malbec and Merlot soften the fierce structure with fruity notes and silkiness. It is a dark, dense, and deeply aromatic wine, a true tribute to Mendoza's precision viticulture.

2. Exclusive Sommelier Notes

Appearance: Almost black, impenetrable and brilliant purple color, with dense tears that stain the glass.

Nose: Intense aromas of black mulberries, blueberries, and graphite. Touches of dark chocolate, black pepper, and a very elegant toasted wood background are perceived.

Palate: A powerful and structured attack. The tannins are firm and "grippy," yet of a silky quality. The finish is extraordinarily long, leaving notes of spices and licorice.

4. Pairing and Consumption Moments

Recommended Pairing: A wine of this caliber demands dishes of great intensity. It is the perfect companion for a Carnita Asada of fatty cuts (Rib Eye, Picaña) or game meats such as wild boar or venison. It harmonizes incredibly well with powerful stews, pasta with truffled mushroom sauces, and intense cheeses like Gorgonzola or Roquefort.

Suggested Moments:

  • Carnita Asada: The ultimate expression to accompany fire and the best cuts of meat.
  • Special Celebration: To commemorate personal victories or important milestones with an imposing wine.
  • Business: To close important deals where a wine that projects solidity and character is required.
  • Gift: The ideal gift for the connoisseur looking for bold and collectible blends.
  • Romantic Dinner: A bold choice for an intimate dinner with sophisticated dishes.
  • Family Meal: To elevate the Sunday table to a real feast.
