AGRELO 2019

SINGLE VINEYARD • LUJÁN TERROIR • ARGENTINA

"The opulence of Agrelo elevated to maximum sophistication: where clay and sun forge a legendary Cabernet Franc."

🇦🇷 ORIGIN: AGRELO, LUJÁN DE CUYO, MENDOZA | 🍇 GRAPE: CABERNET FRANC, MALBEC | 🏺 WINERY: EL ENEMIGO

The Golden Heart of Luján

The Gran Enemigo Single Vineyard Agrelo 2019 is a tribute to the most emblematic area of Luján de Cuyo. In this terroir of deep, clayey soils, Cabernet Franc acquires a generous and enveloping dimension. The El Enemigo winery, led by Alejandro Vigil, achieves a masterful balance in this 2019 vintage between structural power and a silkiness that caresses the palate. It is a wine that speaks of tradition but with cutting-edge technique, using foudres of hundred-year-old oak so that the terroir can express itself without interference.

frequently asked questions (FAQS)

Why is Agrelo considered a "land of red wines"?

Due to its clayey soil that retains moisture better and its warmer climate than the Uco Valley, which allows grapes like Cabernet Franc to ripen with very round and soft tannins.

Is this 2019 wine suitable for cellaring?

Absolutely. Although it is already delicious due to its roundness, it has a structure that will allow it to evolve favorably in the bottle for the next 10 to 15 years.

Is decanting recommended?

Yes, we recommend decanting for 30 to 45 minutes to allow the aromatic concentration of the 2019 vintage to fully open before drinking.
