ZAC
GRAN SELEZIONE 2018
DOCG • IL MOLINO DI GRACE • PANZANO
"The ultimate expression of Panzano Sangiovese: power, history, and uncompromising organic elegance."
The Soul of Panzano in a Bottle
The Zac Chianti Classico Gran Selezione 2018 is the pride of Il Molino di Grace. It comes from a unique plot in the prestigious Conca d'Oro amphitheater in Panzano, where the altitude and galestro soils (crumbly limestone) give the Sangiovese an unparalleled mineral depth. Under strict organic viticulture, Zac 2018 represents the peak of the Chianti Classico quality pyramid, offering a powerful yet refined tannic structure, balanced by a freshness that is the hallmark of this exceptional vintage.

frequently asked questions (FAQS)
Why is it called 'Zac'?
It's a tribute to Zacarias Grace, son of Frank Grace (the winery's founder). It represents the family's personal vision and dedication to achieving the highest quality in Panzano.
Is decanting necessary?
Absolutely. As a Gran Selezione from 2018, we recommend decanting it at least 2 hours before serving to soften the structure and release the complex aromas.
What is the difference from a Chianti Classico Riserva?
Gran Selezione (Zac) must come from estate vineyards, has a longer minimum aging period, and must pass a more stringent tasting panel, making it the highest tier of Chianti.
