SALANQUES
MAS DOIX 2021
D.O.Q. PRIORAT • POBOLEDA • HEROIC VITICULTURE
"The harmony of the landscape: a tribute to the maturity of the old vineyards of Poboleda, where the opulence of Garnacha and the structure of Cariñena converge on pure licorella soils."
Essence of Slate and Centenarian Vines
Salanques 2021 represents the freshest and most elegant face of Priorat. Born in Poboleda, the region with the greatest thermal contrast, this wine comes from steep slopes with vines between 70 and 90 years old. The 2021 vintage stands out for its enviable aromatic precision, where wood plays a secondary role, allowing the slate (licorella) to dictate the vertical and mineral character of the whole.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How does Salanques differ from 'Doix', the winery's top wine?
Salanques aims to show the freshness and elegance of Poboleda with a more accessible profile in its youth, while Doix comes from the family's oldest and most extreme plots, with a structure designed for decades of aging.
Is it suitable for prolonged aging?
Absolutely. Thanks to its low production per vine and balanced pH, Salanques 2021 will evolve nobly in the cellar for the next 10 to 15 years, developing complex notes of leather and spices.
