SALANQUES
MAS DOIX 2021
D.O.Q. PRIORAT • POBOLEDA • HEROIC VITICULTURE
"The harmony of the landscape: a tribute to the maturity of Poboleda's old vineyards, where the opulence of Grenache and the structure of Carignan converge on pure slate soils."
Essence of Slate and Centenarian Vines
Salanques 2021 represents the freshest and most elegant side of Priorat. Born in Poboleda, the area with the greatest thermal contrast in the region, this wine comes from steep slopes with vines between 70 and 90 years old. The 2021 vintage stands out for an enviable aromatic precision, where wood becomes a secondary actor, allowing the slate (licorella) to dictate the vertical and mineral character of the whole.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How does Salanques differ from 'Doix', the winery's top wine?
Salanques aims to showcase the freshness and elegance of Poboleda with a more approachable profile in its youth, while Doix comes from the family's oldest and most extreme plots, with a structure designed for decades of aging.
Is it suitable for prolonged aging?
Absolutely. Thanks to its low production per vine and balanced pH, Salanques 2021 will evolve nobly in the cellar over the next 10 to 15 years, developing complex nuances of leather and spices.
