PETRUNA
ANFORA 2020
IL BORRO • 100% SANGIOVESE • VALDARNO
"The return to origin: the absolute purity of Sangiovese sculpted by earth and terracotta."
Sangiovese in its Pristine State
The Petruna Anfora 2020 is one of the most exciting projects of the **Ferragamo** family at the **Il Borro** estate. This wine is a tribute to the Etruscan traditions of Tuscany. Using exclusively Sangiovese grapes from organic vineyards, the wine undergoes its entire process in handmade terracotta amphorae. The result is a red wine of astonishing transparency, where red fruit shines without the adornment of wood, offering a mineral freshness and depth that connects directly to the history of the land.

frequently asked questions (FAQS)
What does the amphora contribute to the final taste?
It provides a "tactile" texture on the palate and keeps the fruit vibrant. Without wood, the wine tastes of grape and earth, not toasted spices.
Is this a wine for aging?
Although it is fascinating to drink young for its energy, Sangiovese in amphora has excellent aging potential due to its natural acidic structure.
Are sulfites used in Petruna?
The minimum amount necessary to ensure stability during transport is used, but well below conventional limits, respecting its natural wine soul.
