CARO
VINTAGE 2020

MENDOZA • ARGENTINA • ROTHSCHILD & CATENA

"Two cultures, one soul: the refinement of Bordeaux meets the strength of the Andes in one masterful bottle."

🇦🇷 ORIGIN: UCO VALLEY AND LUJÁN DE CUYO | 🍇 GRAPE: 60% MALBEC, 40% CABERNET SAUVIGNON | 🏺 WINERY: BODEGAS CARO

The Perfect Alliance

CARO 2020 is much more than a wine; it is the symbol of a historic union between the French excellence of Lafite and the innovative vision of Catena Zapata. This red blend balances the voluptuousness and black fruit of Malbec with the aristocratic structure and elegance of Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2020 vintage, marked by a dry and warm climate, allowed for perfect ripeness, resulting in a profound, balanced wine with a finesse that places it at the pinnacle of premium Argentine wines.

frequently asked questions (FAQS)

Is CARO an independent winery?

Yes, Bodegas CARO has its own historic facilities in Mendoza, although it is a joint project of Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) and the Catena family.

What does each grape contribute to the blend?

Malbec provides the sweetness of the fruit, color, and velvety texture, while Cabernet Sauvignon lends the tannic structure, aromatic complexity, and longevity.

Is it recommended to decant CARO 2020?

Absolutely. For a wine of such complexity and structure to fully express itself, it is recommended to decant for at least 60 minutes before serving.
