Châteauneuf-du-Pape

Barton & Guestier • Rhône, France

★★★★★ THE MAJESTY OF THE SOUTHERN RHÔNE

"Rhône tradition: a complex, spicy, and elegant red that captures the essence of the pebbly soils and the sun of Southern France."

The Papal Legacy

Barton & Guestier presents its interpretation of the legendary **Châteauneuf-du-Pape**. This wine is the child of a unique terroir, where the famous *“Galets Roulés”* (rounded stones) release heat at night to achieve perfect ripeness. With a traditional blend of **Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre**, this label is presented in the iconic bottle with a papal relief, a symbol of French authenticity and excellence for three centuries.

1. Identity Profile

  • Winery: Barton & Guestier (B&G).
  • Origin: AOC Châteauneuf-du-Pape, France.
  • Varietal: Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre.
  • Aging: 12 months in French oak barrels.
  • Potential: 5 to 10 years of cellaring.
  • Volume: 750 ml.

2. Sommelier's Notes

Appearance: Deep ruby red with intense garnet hues. Medium-high density and great clarity.

Nose: Complex bouquet that unfolds ripe red fruits (black cherry), the herbal scent of *garrigue* (thyme, rosemary), and elegant notes of licorice and black pepper.

Palate: Generous and velvety entry. Firm but well-polished tannic structure. A wine with great balance that culminates in a long, spicy, and persistent finish.
