EL ENEMIGO
CHENIN BLANC 2021
BODEGA ALEANNA • AGRELO • ARGENTINA
"Crystallinity and tension: the grape that challenges the desert with electrical freshness and a deeply mineral soul."
The Verticality of Chenin
The El Enemigo Chenin Blanc 2021 is one of the winery's most personal ventures. It comes from selected vineyards in Agrelo, where the combination of soils and thermal amplitude allows this variety to maintain a sharp and elegant acidity. Aged in old wooden foudres to respect its purity, this wine stands out for its austere and sophisticated profile. It is a "stone texture" white, moving away from obvious tropical fruit to offer layers of citrus, white flowers, and a saline savoriness that makes it a favorite among international critics.

4. Pairing and Recommendations
Gastronomy: Its freshness makes it ideal for dishes with acidity, such as ceviches, fish tartares, or salads with citrus vinaigrettes. It pairs exquisitely with fresh cheeses (goat, ricotta), fresh seafood, and Japanese cuisine dishes (sashimi).
Service: It is recommended to serve chilled, between 8°C and 10°C. It does not require decanting, but will gain expressiveness if allowed to breathe for a few minutes in the glass.
frequently asked questions (FAQs)
Is it a sweet wine like other Chenin Blancs?
No, El Enemigo Chenin Blanc is a strictly dry wine. It focuses on the purity of the fruit and the mineral expression of the soil, without residual sugars.
What does wood contribute if it's such a fresh white wine?
The use of old French oak foudres allows the wine to breathe and gain a silky texture without adding vanilla or toasted flavors that would overshadow the freshness of the grape.
Does it contain preservatives?
It contains sulfites at minimum and controlled levels to ensure that the freshness and stability of the wine remain intact from the winery to your table.
